Membership Terms and Conditions

Automatic Renewal Agreement is a legally binding agreement between you, the member, and The Fitness Academy. This agreement sets forth your rights and obligations with respect to the automatic renewal and payment of your monthly gym membership. By signing this agreement, you are indicating that you have carefully read this agreement, understand it, and consent to be bound by all its terms and conditions. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of this agreement, you should not sign this agreement and the membership registration process will not be sanctioned. From time to time we may contact you with marketing material and current offers, please tick to opt out of receiving this information.
Automatic Membership Renewal
Automatic Renewal: Your membership will automatically be renewed by this date each month (payment may process one day prior) unless you notify The Fitness Academy of your decision to terminate your membership. The member understands that any automatic recurring payment method or renewal authorisation will remain in effect until withdrawn by the member, The Fitness Academy must be notified of your decision to terminate your membership 7 days prior to your membership renewal date.
Renewed Membership: The renewed membership level and term will be the same unless we are notified otherwise.
Freezing of Membership: This will be at the discretion of The Fitness Academy and upon the receipt of a doctor’s letter.
Carry Over Of Weekly Classes Package
Sessions can be carried over from week to week if needed and members can have the full calendar month in order to get their set package completed.
BUT Credits/classes cannot be carried forward from one month to the next month. Once a calendar month is over a brand new package comes into effect.
Sessions missed out on/not attended in that calendar month are therefore NON-REFUNDABLE.
Default and Cancellation by Club
If the member’s payment goes into default, you, the member, will have 7 days to resolve this outstanding payment, if this is not paid within that period the membership will be cancelled by The Fitness Academy and an outstanding payment will be left on the account which will need to be paid at the time of re-joining.
Membership Fob
Members will be issued with a membership fob, which must be used every time they enter the club. Membership fobs must not be loaned or used by another person other than the member themselves. Deposit of €5.00 per membership fob
Use of Facilities
Members are deemed to have read and understood the terms and Conditions of their membership
The Fitness Academy opening hours are fixed by the company and are subject to change
The company may at any time close the club’s premises or any part thereof, for the undertaking of maintenance work or any other work considered necessary.
Use of the fitness area is at the members own risk and under their own medical advice
Members shall not use the facility while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and smoking is not permitted anywhere within the building.
Mobile phone use – the taking of photograph’s and video is prohibited.
For time to time The Fitness Academy may take pictures and or videos of classes to be used in marketing material.
Attendees for classes must register at reception.
Members are expected to arrive for appointments and classes in good time, there will be a 10min grace period for class arrival after this time it may result in a member not being allowed to part take for safety reasons.
If you arrive early for a class please wait in the warm up area so as not to cause disruption to the class currently taking place.
The company reserves the right to refuse entry to the facility at its absolute discretion.
Appropriate footwear is to be worn at all times on the gym floor. Only appropriate gym footwear is allowed. Sandals or flip flops are not deemed appropriate footwear.
Class attendance is monitored and classes with low attendance may be removed from the timetable. If you cannot attend a class previously booked please notify us in advance so as the class can be rescheduled.
Only equipment provided by The Fitness Academy may be used on the gym floor.
Any incident or accident should be reported immediately to the manager on duty.
Liability
As a member, you agree to comply with the rules of the gym
CCTV in operation for the protection of both staff and members
The Fitness Academy will not accept liability for any damage or loss to members’ personal property brought onto the premises. Members are solely responsible for their own belongings whilst visiting The Fitness Academy.
All bags must be kept in the designated area within the gym, any belongings left in the changing rooms are done so at your own risk
The Fitness Academy or their servants and agents shall not be liable for personal injury sustained by members whilst on the premises, except in so far as it can be proven that this relates to the wilful act, neglect or default of The Fitness Academy. Members who suffer an accident or injury on the premises must report the accident or injury, and the circumstances in which it occurred, to management immediately following the accident or injury.
